The NFL couldn’t have delivered a better product for opening week of its 2018 season. The drama, several amazing finishes (including a tie and a comeback for the ages), and amazing performances by stars and future stars showed why the NFL has been missed badly these past seven months…and why it’s great to have it back. Now, it’s on to Week 2…and once again, what better person can we have on the program to help me preview another fun week of pro football than my great friend Hal Bent of FullPressCoverage.com.

- Week 1 Takeaways
-Stellar QB performances by present and future stars: Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Darnold, Mahomes
-Pass rush clinics by Von Miller, Khalil Mack
-Based on Aaron Rodgers’ press availability today, he sounded like he is more likely than not going to play on Sunday, albeit at less than 100%. But as he showed last Sunday against the Bears (and in 2016), a wounded Rodgers is just as dangerous (if not even more) than a healthy Rodgers. If you are the Vikings defense, are you operating under the same assumption?
-Pat Elflein returned to practice for the Vikings today, albeit on a limited basis. If he suits up on Sunday, how much does he help that Vikings iOL going against that underrated Packers DL (Mike Daniels, Kenny Clark)?
-Other big matchup (Vikings WR’s vs. Packers CB’s…who has the edge?)
-This one has shootout written all over it; two high-powered offenses and two suspect-defenses. If you’re the Chiefs or Steelers, do you commit to using a run-first, ball control offense to keep your defense off the field right off the bat?
-Game deciding matchup (Chiefs OL vs. Pittsburgh DL)
-Do you expect the Patriots to use similar concepts the Giants used last Sunday in order to free up their best receiving weapons?
-With both teams RB corps banged up…could this game be more pass-heavy and high-scoring than we think?
